Gold Coast Film Festival 2023

HOTA – Home of the Arts

April 19 - 30

Are you a movie enthusiast or an aspiring director? Catch the Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF), held in Queensland's premier filmmaking region, as it celebrates cinema and filmmaking. The 2023 GCFF features a fun lineup of movies, events, and panels highlighting outstanding Australian talent while examining various tales and distinctive approaches.

The entire time of the 2023 GCFF is jam-packed with fantastic programs. Watch the Australian Showcase and support regional cinema. These Australian films exhibit excellent filmmaking talent and present new stories and engaging characters while reflecting the nation's diversity. The Australian Showcase consists of the films Monolith, Sweet As, The Giants, and The Survival Of Kindness.

See the outstanding films produced all across the globe. In addition to festival favourites, prize winners, and popular picks among critics, World Cinema presents unique, original stories and a few feel-good movies. The World Cinema consists of ten excellent films, Bank of Dave (UK), Cairo Conspiracy (Denmark, Finland, France, Sweden), EO (Poland), Feminist Riposte (France), Holy Spider (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Sweden), I Like Movies (Canada), Maybe I Do (USA), Olga (France, Switzerland, Ukraine), Rodeo (France) and The Inspection (USA).

With these films about family, friends, and lovers, you may see the lighter side of French cinema. Two movies are in the L'Amour: Family, Friends, and Lovers program - Champagne! and This One Summer. Big ocean stories, large waves, and a local filmmaker focus are all part of the 2023 GCFF. There will also be events for the industry where one may increase their film knowledge, make valuable connections, and develop their professional abilities.

Don't miss out! Plan your trip to the Gold Coast well to attend both events.
